In the afternoon of September 27th, 2014, LCLLF together with College for Justice Research in ECUPL and Sichuan University Shanghai Alumni held a salon with a topic of “Discussion on Judicial Reform and Outlook on Legal System Construction” in ECUPL.
The salon was hosted by Zhao Shunxing[ Zhao Shunxing, the vice president of Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.], and Lawyer Ye Ping[ Lawyer Ye Ping, the secretary of CPC LCLLF branch.]. Representing the organizers, the director of Information Department of Shanghai Representative Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government, the president of the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and the vice president of Sichuan University Shanghai Alumni addressed welcome speeches.
About sixty people gathered in the round-table conference room in ECUPL Jiao Yi Building. They had a warm conversation about China’s judicial reform and expressed their expectation on China’s legal system construction at the meanwhile. Among those people, there were presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, vice secretaries and other representatives from Tsinghua University Shanghai Alumni, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Shanghai Alumni, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Yangtze River Delta Fraternity, Zhejiang University Shanghai Alumni, Wuhan University Shanghai Alumni, Chongqing University Shanghai Alumni, China University of Mining and Technology Shanghai Alumni, Beihang University Shanghai Alumni, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Shanghai Alumni£¬Harbin Engineering University Shanghai Alumni, Hefei University Shanghai Alumni, Shenyang Jianzhu University Shanghai Alumni and Shanghai Alumni of some other Universities. There were presidents and vice presidents of China Banking Regulatory Commission Shanghai Branch, Shanghai Representative Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government, Shanghai Representative Office of Chengtu Provincial Government and some other institutions. There were directors and senior reporters from Sino-Clutre Press, Finance and Investment, Shanghai Commerce Daily, Modern Family and some other newspapers and periodicals. There were secretaries and vice secretaries of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao Chamber of Commerce in shanghai, Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. There were CEOs and representatives from enterprises such as Volvo China, Denmark Food, Shaw’s Project and etc. Finance and Investment made a live broadcast to the salon on both Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo.

The salon was consisted of two sections. The first section began with Doctor Fan[ Doctor Fan, the vice researcher in ECUPL Higher Education and Legal Education Research Institution.]’s speech on “Analyzing the Difficulties and Obstacles in Judicial Reform Based on the Current Condition of Court’s Operating”, and end with Lawyer Liu Chunlei’s lecture on “Opportunities and Challenges to Enterprises in the Judicial Reform”.

In the second section, the participants communicated their experiences and thoughts regarding the judicial reform, legal system, and how to manger the alumni etc, and they also shared business and cooperating opportunities with each others.

Finally, Lawyer Ye Ping announced the ending of the salon with sharing a famous saying that where you are standing on, is the China for your own, how and what it will be depending on how and what you will be.
